Sat 27 April: day of action against high rents and letting agent fees

Private tenants are being let down by poor standards, sky-high rents and extortionate bogus letting agent fees.

With letting agents unregulated and responsible for one-in-five rent rises, we’ve had enough!

On Saturday 27 April, private tenants and local people are taking to high streets across London to demand:

  • An end to fees for tenants as in Scotland
  • Proper regulation of letting agents
  • No discrimination against people on housing benefit
  • Action to bring rents down, and keep them under control
  • Longer secure tenancies

Actions are taking place in Brixton, Haringey, Herne Hill and Islington – see below for details. Stay updated via #LetDownRenters

Please spread the word and come along. See you on the streets!
