Open skillshare: Saturday 6 April, 2pm

Want to take action against high rents and rip-off letting agent fees?

Saturday 6 April, 2 – 5.30pm – skillshare: come and find out how to get involved

Unite Community Centre, St George’s Town Hall (basement), 236 Cable Street, London E1 0BL (map) – 2 mins from Shadwell station. (Please mention if you’re a wheelchair user.)

We’re holding a skillshare for anyone, with any level of experience of protests and campaigns. We’ll be exploring what makes creative protest action, and why we might choose to do it. We’ll come up with ideas for action we could take as part of a day of action on 27 April, and work out what it would take to carry out these actions.

Then we’ll talk about our rights on different types of protest action. Finally we’ll work out our next steps between now and the day of action. And, if you’re itching for some hands-on activity, they’ll be a chance to make banners, placards and protest props as well!

Saturday 27 April: Let down! A day of action against high rents and rip-off fees

Private tenants are being let down by poor standards, sky-high rents and extortionate bogus letting agent fees.

With letting agents unregulated and responsible for one-in-five rent rises, we’ve had enough!

On Saturday 27 April, private tenants and local people are taking to the high street to demand change.

You can get involved by joining an action near you, or organising one of your own.
